PROXIDRUGS vice speaker Aimo Kannt receives professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt

On 1 March, Aimo Kannt took up the Professorship for Translational Drug Research at Goethe University.

The professorship is a joint appointment with the Fraunhofer Institute for Translational Medicine and Pharmacology ITMP. In addition to his research and teaching activities in the field of pharmacology, the professorship will also strengthen and further expand the strategic cooperation between Goethe University and the Fraunhofer Society.

In addition to his teaching activities at Goethe University, Aimo also supports the Master's programmes for Translational Research and Innovative Medicine at the Universities of Heidelberg and Groningen and is responsible for the module on research and development in the Pharma MBA programme at Goethe Business School.

Since 2020, Aimo has been Head of Research Division for Drug Discovery and Preclinical Research at Fraunhofer ITMP. He is project leader and vice speaker of the PROXIDRUGS cluster and speaker of the Innovation Centre Innovative Therapeutics (TheraNova).
