The German Chemical Biology Lectureship is awarded by the Joint Working Group Chemical Biology to outstanding young scientists to honor original and creative approaches in chemical biology. The first recipient was Georg Winter, a pioneer in the prospering field of targeted protein degradation.
The first of three intended lectures took place on November 28th, 2022, at the TU Darmstadt, co-organized with the Cluster4Future PROXIDRUGS. Georg Winter presented an overview on his recent research, including screening methods for degradative molecular glues and an analysis of resistance mechanisms as a basis to develop more efficacious drugs for cancer.
